Graduates who have accomplished Industrial Design Engineering are working diligently in various fields across society to create a new world.
Briefly introducing the cases of graduates so far include university professors; in Korea University of Technology and Education, Korea Institute of Technology, Sangmyung University, Hanbat University, etc., Teacher; in Design and Art specialized high schools, and Vocational Training Institutes, Research Institute came from government and local governments and government employee; like Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, Academy of Korean Studies, Seoul Design Center, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, Independence Hall, Korean Railroad Corporation, the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and etc., Designer of large or small company; like Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Haier, 3D Systems, KIPCO, Mirae System, Kakao, Naver, KT, and etc., Designer of design specialty company, Founding design specialty company, Employee of foreign company and Student studying in foreign university ;like Tsukuba University (Japan), Royal Collage of Art(U.K), Design Academy Eindhoven (the Netherlands), Delft University of Technology (the Netherlands), Pratt Institute (U.S.A.), and etc.
졸업 후 사회에서의 활동영역
학생(졸업생) 자신이 주도적으로 개척하여야 할 부분이 분명 예상됩니다만, 모든 유형(특히 내구재분야)의 '유용한 물건'을 개발 및 디자인하는 조직의 기획실/연구실/디자인실/설계실에서 동시공학 개념을 실천할 수 있는 새로운 디자이너(디자인공학자)'로서의 역할이 기대되고 있습니다. 현재까지의 졸업생 취업현황으로 졸업 후의 모든 진로를 예측하기엔 무리가 있겠지만, 디자인관련교육계(직업전문학교교사, 디자인관련대학 연구원 및 조교 등)와 공학분야연구소와 디자인전문업체와 제품개발관련업체와 대학원으로 나와 있습니다.
The graduates may open a new field on their own initiative. However new type of designers (design engineers) are expected to play a role in practicing Concurrent Engineering at the department of planning/research/design/plan. Although there is a little difficulty in estimating all types of job under the present situation, design related education areas (teacher at vocational institution, researcher or assistant professor at design related universities etc.), engineering research center, design company, industrial product development company, and graduation school etc are considered.
